Optical Dispensing and Pharmacy
A total number of 32,567 patients obtained spectacles from optical dispensing unit out of which 1,624 were pediatric patients and pharmacy had disbursed medicines to 1,80,000 patients.
Cornea Treatment
Therapeutic & Penetrating Keratoplasty procedures were performed in 14 & 13 patients respectively. Further, a significant growth was found in keratoplasty, corneal foreign body removal and pterygium surgery by 125%, 80% and 22.06% respectively in 2017.
Retina Surgery
We observed a significant growth in combined retina surgery, pars plana vitrectomy and other intraocular surgery by 112.82%, 62.28% and 35.14% respectively. Further, combined retina surgery with SICS & Phaco were 4 & 20 respectively i.e. a sharp decline by 73.33% and 13.04% respectively in 2017.
