Successful Completion of Eye Surgical Camps in Sankhuwasabha by Mechi Eye Hospital and Partners

Mechi Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Ek Ek Paila Foundation and local partners, has successfully conducted two back-to-back surgical camps in Sankhuwasabha district, bringing much-needed eye care services to remote areas.

Bhotkhola Rural Municipality Camp (Mangsir 11–13, 2081)

The first camp was held at Bhotkhola Rural Municipality from Mangsir 11 to Mangsir 13, 2081. Organized jointly by Ek Ek Paila Foundation, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, and supported technically by Mechi Eye Hospital, the camp saw an overwhelming response.

Patients Examined: 455

Surgeries Performed: 40 cataract and other surgeries

This initiative aimed to provide accessible and affordable eye care services to the underserved community of Bhotkhola.

Khadbari Camp (Mangsir 14–15, 2081)

Following the success at Bhotkhola, a second camp was conducted in Khadbari from Mangsir 14 to Mangsir 15, 2081. This camp was organized by Tejratna Aankha Tatha Kaan Upachar Kendra, Ek Ek Paila Foundation, and supported technically by Mechi Eye Hospital.

Patients Examined: 150

Surgeries Performed: 49 cataract and other surgeries

Both camps were a testament to the commitment of all organizing and supporting bodies to ensure that even the most remote regions have access to quality eye care services.
