Mechi Eye Hospital has conducted Community based Teachers Training Program in Primary Eye Care Centre (PECC), Kachankawal Rural Municipality, Jhapa dated on 19th December 2022 including at least one teacher from each school. Among the schools we have trained 35 school teachers and coordinated them for school screening.
Teacher training program was conducted for school teachers to educate them about childhood ocular disorders and the importance of their early detection, and refractive error. Teachers from government and private schools located in Kachankawal rural municipality were given training in vision screening. These teachers then conducted primary vision screening of children in their schools and helps to select the student to screening camp in their own school as well.
