On Thursday- 25 Bhadra 2083 (September 10, 2026)- Mechi Eye Hospital marked the inauguration of a new building at its Bhadrapur Primary Eye Care Centre (PECC) in Bhadrapur, Devibasti, Jhapa. The newly constructed building houses OPD, OT (operation theatre) and IPD services, bringing a wider range of eye care closer to patients in and around Bhadrapur Area.
The Mayor of Bhadrapur Municipality, Mr. Ganesh Pokharel formally inaugurated the building by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. Mr. Gobinda Saria attended as special guest on behalf of the land donor.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Jal Kumar Gurung, Chairperson of the Mechi Eye Hospital Sangh along with other office bearers and Dr. Purushottam Joshi- Medical Director of Mechi Eye Hospital among other dignitaries. With OPD, OT, and IPD services now available under one roof, the new Bhadrapur PECC building is set to make quality eye care more accessible for patients across the region.
