Bridging the Gap: A Successful CME at Mechi Eye Hospital

Mechi Eye Hospital successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “A Shared Vision: Collaboration in Global Eye Care” on March 30, 2026. Held at our conference hall, the event began with the traditional lighting of the Panas. This ceremony was led by Mr. Jal Kumar Gurung, President of Mechi Eye Hospital Sangh, and Dr. Purushottam Joshi, Medical Director. They were joined by Mr. Niraj Dev Joshi, Immediate Past President of NAO, and Mr. Ramesh Pradhan, General Secretary of the Nepal Ophthalmic Assistant Society.

The technical sessions featured insightful presentations from Ms. Nandi Limbu, Optometrist of Mechi Eye Hospital, and Mr. Ajit Kumar Thakur, Optometrist of Dristi Eye Hospital. The day was filled with engaging panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions. We were proud to host optometrist participants from various eye hospitals across Jhapa, alongside the ophthalmologists, optometrists, and ophthalmic assistants of Mechi Eye Hospital.

To conclude the program, we held a formal ceremony for the distribution of certificates and Tokens of Love to our esteemed presenters. We sincerely thank all speakers, participants, and eye care professionals for their active participation and valuable contributions.
